I really didn't want to watch this but as you all know, I feel impelled to finish a movie that I start to watch.
Anyway, I don't have much to say about this film, except that it talks a great deal about passion - passion in the arts and moving and doing anything with your might just to get to where that passion is.Its an eye-opener for those who believe that there is only one road towards where they want to go.
The make-up was grreat! I caught myself staring at Connie's eye make-up throughtout the show. And both actors really looked like drag queens! It was a good early afternoon movie, if you're alone at home and just looking for stuff to do to pass time.
Carla (or Connie) at almost the end of the film compares their situation with Barbara Streisand's character in the classic film, Yentl. Where they both create their own world of lies to be able to fulfill their life long dream, Connie and Carla to finally have their acts accepted by their critics.
This movie is something to watch when you're feeling that your dreams will remain just dreams. After seeing this, I came to an understanding that people always have an opportunity to fulfill their dreams. Some attain these goals, some don't. Those who do have gotten their dreams chose the right path. Those who have not, might have chosen the wrong road but also simply had just given up to looking for another route.
